After you have downloaded and installed the Java Development Kit (JDK) in Windows, you must set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the JDK installation directory.<\/p>\n

You must follow these steps to set JAVA_HOME variable on your Windows system.<\/p>\n

Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop and select Properties.
\nClick Advanced system settings link.
\nClick the Advanced tab.
\nClick the Environment Variables button.
\nUnder System Variables, click New.
\nEnter the variable name as JAVA_HOME
