I\u2019ve discovered bugs in some install packages. One such package is Zimbra. To work around these bugs, IPv6 and associated dependencies need to be disabled.<\/p>\n
To disable IPv6 in a CentOS 7 installation, perform the following tasks:<\/p>\n
Task 1
\nNavigate to and create a file inside\/etc\/modprobe.d\/.
\n(The name of the file can be anything, I chose \u201cdisable-ipv6\u201d)
\ncd \/etc\/modprobe.d\/
\nnano disable-ipv6
\nAdd this line
\ninstall ipv6 \/bin\/true
\nPress \u201cCtl+X\u201d to exit
\nSelect \u201cY\u201d to save changes
\nPress \u201cEnter\u201d to get back to CL<\/p>\n
Task 2
\nComment Out Hosts Entry
\nnano \/etc\/hosts
\nBy default, this is what\u2019s present:
\n127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
\n::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6
\nComment out
\n#::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6
\nPress \u201cCtl+X\u201d to exit
\nSelect \u201cY\u201d to save changes
\nPress \u201cEnter\u201d to get back to CL<\/p>\n
