\nScroll down using the arrow keys to the line starting with “linux”. It would look like this.

\nRemove the following from that line. “rhgb<\/b>” and “quiet<\/b>“.
\nAdd the following to the end of the line. “init=\/bin\/sh<\/b>“.
\nPress ctrl+x<\/b> to continue the boot process.
\nOnce the system is booted, you will be at the root user in single user mode. But this is in a read only file system.
\nYou need to mount the \/ filesystem.
\nmount -o remount, rw \/<\/b>
\nTest that you can write to \/, following command should work without error.
\ntouch \/tmp\/test<\/b>
\nNow change your password for root
\npasswd<\/b>
\nTouch the following file to make sure things are ok on SELinux, this is a fix file process.
\ntouch \/.autorelabel<\/b>
\nFinally start the normal boot process.
