PSOD vSphere ESXi 5.x Collect Logs from ESXi Server
If you hit a PSOD, collect the logs (step by step method).
1. Reboot the PSODed ESX/ESXi server.
2. Run command
esxcfg-dumppart –copy –devname /vmfs/devices/disks/<naa.xxxxxxxxxxx:y –zdumpname <esxpsodname>
3. extrat the zdump by running the command
esxcfg-dumppart –log <esxpsodname>
4. Run vm-support (to collect all the logs)
Send the files to vmware to get support.
