Essential Oils used in Hair Care
Essential oils, nature’s botanical essences, can work wonders on your hair and scalp. They can be used to cleanse the scalp, strengthen hair, control irritation and dandruff, stimulate hair follicles, improve circulation and even promote hair growth. Some essential oils improve the condition of the scalp whiles others improve the condition of the hair.

NOTE: To use essential oils in hair care they should not be applieddirectly to your hair or scalp. They should first be mixed with a carrier oil or can be diluted in vinegar or floral water.
ESSENTIAL OIL HAIR CARE RECIPES
HAIR CONDITIONER OIL
- 1 tablespoon Jojoba or other carrier oil
- 3 drops of Rosemary (or other hair care essential oil)
Directions: Mix the Jojoba and Rosemary in a small bowl (tiny condiment bowls work great for this). Wet your hair with warm water and then apply the conditioner. Let it sit on your hair for 15-30 minutes. Then, wash your hair as normal. Jojoba and rosemary are helpful for dry hair

SCALP MASSAGE
Place 3 to 5 drops of a hair care conditioner oil (recipe above) on your fingertips and massage your scalp.
Scaly scalp and dandruff blend: Add 2 drops atlas cedarwood, 2 drops lavender, 2 drops rosemary, and 2 drop tea tree oil to 1/2 ounce of a base oil (like jojoba).
SCENTED HAIR
Apply 2 drops of your chosen essential oils for hair to the bristles of your hairbrush and brush your hair well
Or… Add 3 drops of a hair care conditioner oil (recipe above) to a hair brush or comb.The hair will absorb the scent as the oil conditions hair.
