WebSphere MQ: Starting / stopping tracing – strmqtrc, endmqtrc
Use the WebSphere MQ strmqtrc and endmqtrc commands to check the trace file acquisition operation. In addition, the previous article is here. References are listed at the end of the article.
Start MQ trace
Start with the strmqtrc command. (Specify target queue manager with option -m)
$ Strmqtrc -m QML
1
In the case of
$ Strmqtrc -m QML
Perform put and get operations on the queue of the queue manager. If you do not pass through the sample program, do PATH setting referring to the following article.
$ Amqsput QL.A QML
Sample AMQSPUT 0 start
Target queue is QL.A
I confirm strmqtrc command operation.
Sample AMQSPUT 0 end
$ Amqsget QL.A QML
Sample AMQSGET0 start
Message <I confirm strmqtrc command operation.>
No more messages
Sample AMQSGET 0 end
In the case of
$ Amqsput QL.A QML
Sample AMQSPUT 0 start
Target queue is QL.A
I confirm strmqtrc command operation.

$ Endmqtrc -m QML

In the case of
$ Endmqtrc -m QML
Confirm MQ trace file
Trace related files are saved in binary format in / var / mqm / trace on UNIX systems. Use the dspmqtrc command to convert the file to text format.
